Service Crew

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests, according to company standards in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

• Serve all guests by taking their menu orders, recommending menu selections as needed

• Establish a great rapport with our guests so that they look forward to their next visit to Alleybar

• Ensure absolute knowledge of all menus and ongoing restaurant promotions, including any special offers

• Pick up food orders from kitchen and communicate to the chef regarding any special preferences or allergies

• Accurately process and collect payments from guests within an acceptable timeframe

• Efficiently turnover the departed tables and ensure presentability for the next guest

• Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable good, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas

• Always take responsibility for ensuring a positive guest experience
• Attend daily briefings from management on any special service requirements

• Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as requested by Supervisors or Managers
 

Bartenders

• Make recommendations and answer all related enquiries
• Check identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol
• Take drink orders from service staff or directly from customers
• Inform customers about new beverage and special promotions
• Select and mix ingredients, peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
• Regularly monitor inventory and alert when the team needs to look into the inventory status
• Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies
• Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning the bar counter, washing glasses, utensils and equipment
• Ability to handle minor complaints without assistance

 

Host / Hostess (Bar)

  • Guest Interaction: Greeting guests upon arrival, engaging in friendly conversation, and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.

  • Customer Service: Provide attentive and personalized service to guests, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally / Escort guests to their tables or designated areas.

  • Knowledge of Products: Stay informed about the bar's offerings, including specialty cocktails, wines, and spirits, and be able to provide detailed information to guests.

  • Reservation Customer / Event Inquiries: Answer phone calls, handle inquiries, and take reservations/Assist with coordinating large groups and  unique events.

  • Any other adhoc task assigned.

Cook / Chef De Partie / Junior Sous

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards set by the Sous Chef or Head Chef.

  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, including Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants, ensuring they understand the techniques and recipes needed for their assigned tasks.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned section, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas, in adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies for the assigned section, communicating any shortages or discrepancies to the right personnel.

  • Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative input and suggestions for new dishes or improvements to existing recipes.

  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labelling of food items.

  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours, communicating effectively to coordinate timing and execution of orders.

  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanour, fostering a cooperative and supportive work environment within the kitchen team.

  • Assist in unique events or functions as needed, providing expertise and support to ensure successful execution of menus and service.
